Going to the NASCAR races in Charlotte was tons of fun. I've seen a couple races on tv, but that's absolutely NO comparison to being there in person. I mean, the cars just whip by you sooooo fast... you can't even focus on them! And the noise is absolutely deafening, which for me just added to the excitement of it all. Yeah, I'm one of those people who listen to music and stuff way too loud for someone my age...hahaha Which reminds me ... check out I Love NASCAR. What a funny song!

We also went to 4 major race team complexes which were each kinda like a combination store, museum, and actual workshop/garage. To tell you the truth, I though that part of the trip would be kinda boring for me, but I found it fascinating. I learned so much and really gained a better understanding of all that goes into racing. However, it really made yesterday's plane crash all that more real for me. After all, I was just there at Hendrick Motor Sports, and we had just seen old man Hendrick himself. Kinda brings to mind that poof concept I've talked about before. You never know when it'll happen...

Which brings me round again to the loss of my lil Yorkie ... man, who would think losing a pet would hit you so hard? I sure do miss that lil stinker...
